Voici l'unique photo de Dina, la fille de ma grand-mère. Cette dernière lui avait donné ce nom en l'honneur de la religieuse Dina Bélanger, nommé bienheureuse par Jean-Paul II. Très croyante, elle voyait cette naissance comme une bénédiction. Les médecins lui avaient affirmé qu'elle n'aurait jamais d'enfant. Dina décéda neuf ans plus tard de la grippe espagnole. Ma grand-mère ne s'en est jamais remise et la pleurait toujours 50 ans plus tard. Here is the only photo of Dina, my grandmother's daughter. She gave named her after sister Dina Bélanger, beatified by Pope John Paul II. Very religious, she saw this birth as a blessing. Doctors said she would never give birth. Dina died nice years later from the Spanish flu. My grandmother never recovered and still grieved 50 years later.
