Me voici avec ma première page faite avec le fabuleux kit rempli de papiers Studio2mers, de cartons aux textures variées, de matériaux intéressants et d'embellissements à n'en plus finir!




Ma page (A-R pour Any-Rose) :



Le fond de ce papier étant si beau, j'ai eu beaucoup de difficulté à le cacher! Je me suis donc amusée à ajouter des petits bouts de papier colorés pour rehausser les couleurs du papier et de la fleur Lollipop!

J'ai également ajouté près de cette fleur des appliqués de vinyl fournis dans le kit. Une belle découverte qui ajoute vraiment un bel effet malgré les différentes épaisseurs de papier.

Designer invitée pour décembre, Guest designer for December

Je m’appelle Kim. J’ai 25 ans et je suis enseignante. Depuis toujours, j’ai un intérêt profond pour les arts plastiques. J’ai toujours été curieuse en la matière et c’est pourquoi je suis une touche à tout (dessin, peinture, modelage, etc.). Cela m’a amené à essayer, en 2007, le scrapbooking.
Ce qui m’a accroché est que non seulement le scrapbooking permet de mettre en valeur des photos et des souvenirs, mais aussi que ce loisir amène l’apprentissage de très nombreuses techniques. J’aime qu’il n’y ait aucune limite et que tout soit possible. J’aime aussi que la réalisation d’une page soit une expérience personnelle et qu’il n’y a pas de bonne ou de mauvais façon de faire. À chacun ses goûts et son style.
Je définirais mon style d’assez simple. J’aime utiliser des couleurs vivantes et différentes textures. Dernièrement, les incontournables sur mes pages sont les bords de papier chiffonnés et brisés, les petits détails et ornements ici et là, l’utilisation de petits morceaux de papier, l’ajout d’un petit élément singulier éloigné des autres, etc.
Les sujets que j’adore mettre en valeur sur mes pages sont les enfants que je côtoies tous les jours et des moments de mon enfance.
Le scrapbooking m’a également permis de rencontrer des personnes géniales et de faire partie d’équipes créatives inspirantes : Style et Scrap (en tant que collaboratrice), Crop Suey et Zig Zag Scrap (en tant que designer).
C’est avec plaisir que je me joins à l’équipe de Mon Scrapbook pour le mois de décembre.


My name is Kim. I am 25 years old and I am a teacher. Since my childhood, I have a deep interest for visual arts. I've always been curious that's why I like to try different mediums (drawing, painting, sculpture, etc.).. This led me to try scrapbooking in 2007.

What hooked me in scrapbooking is that you can enhance photos and souvenirs, but also let you learn many techniques. I like when there is no limit and everything is possible. I also like the idea that a layout is a personal experience and there is no right or wrong way.

I would define my style simple. I use different colors and textures. Recently, the essential on my pages are the edges of paper rags and broken, small details and ornaments here and there, using small pieces of paper, adding a small piece singular away from others, etc..

The subjects I love to highlight on my pages are the children that I meets every day and moments of my childhood.

Scrapbooking also enabled me to meet people and great to be part of inspiring creative teams: Style and Scrap (as a collaborator), Crop Suey and Zig Zag Scrap (as designer).
It is with pleasure that I join the team at My Scrapbook for the month of December.

Hello! Bonjour!!

Hi! It's me Vicki! I am so happy to be here! I received the November kit a little ways back and I had so much fun creating my projects from it! What a fabulous kit full of American Craft goodness! Wow, I just used a ton of exclamation marks! I must be excited to start sharing the stuff I created.

Here is the first 12 x12 page I will be posting. The rest will be coming throughout the month of November. It is going to be tough waiting to post them! Here we go....

I have a few close ups but I can't figure out how to put them in the body of my post! :)

I added a few stamped circles with one of my favourite stamp set- You Spin Me Round (Gel-A-Tins Stamps) and brown ink. To emphasis the circles and the Flair embellishemnts, I cut out circle shapes from the patterned paper!

D'aussi loin qu'elle se souvienne, Vicki a aimé l'art et la création. Quand elle a découvert le scrapbooking peu de temps après la naissance de son premier enfant, sa passion s'est révélée. Une scrappeuse était née!
En combinant son amour pour le papier et les photos, Vicki a pu développer un style de scrap frais et accessible. En 2006, elle sort gagnante du Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame. En 2008, elle devient membre de l'équipe créative du magazine Scrapbooks Etc de Better Homes and Gardens. Elle en est très heureuse car elle y restera jusqu'en 2009 pour célébrer leur 10ième anniversaire au sein de l'équipe All Star. Ses créations sont publiées dans plusieurs magazines et livres d'idées et Vicki aime partager sa passion du scrap dans des ateliers. Elle est devenu un instructeur certifié pour la compagnie Ranger en Juin 2008.

Avec son amour pour la vie et les rires, Vicki apprécie le temps passé avec sa famille et ses amis et pendant son temps libre, elle fait du shopping ou va au cinéma. Elle habite à St. Catharines en Ontario au Canada avec son mari et ses deux adorables enfants.

For as long as she can remember Vicki has loved art and creating things So when I was introduced to scrapbooking shortly after the birth of her first child, it was like a match made in heaven!

By combining her love for paper and products and photography Vicki has been able to create a fresh and approachable scrapping style. In 2006, she was honored to be added to the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame. In 2008, Vicki became a member of the Creative Team for Better Homes and Gardens Scrapbooks Etc, which she is excited to report will extend into 2009 when she will be added to their 10^th Anniversary All Star team. Her designs have been published in numerous industry magazines and idea books and she loves to share her passion for scrapbooking through teaching and workshops. Vicki became a Ranger Certified Instructor in June 2008.

With a love for life and laughter, Vicki enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and in her spare time she can be found shopping or taking in a good movie. She resides in St. Catharines, ON with her husband and two, sweet children.
